There’s nothing like starting young! Yesterday Isabel (8) and Mathilda (4) led their first routes at Ubrieux, Buis Les Baronnies. Mathilda even took a leader fall but bravely carried on to top out on the tricky grade 3.

Well done to the girls! Wish my Daddy had got me started that young...and a lead fall at age 4! I've got some "hardened" grown-up trad climbing mates who squib out on the idea of a lead fall! Which begs the next question....when are you gonna get the girls placing gear??? ; )
