Rock Climbing in the South of France for deaf people.
ClimbFrance has teamed up with interpreters Communication ID to provide the first climbing holiday exclusively for deaf climbers. All instruction will be interpreted into BSL (using two fully-qualified IRP registered Interpreters)
The course will take place from 21st – 27th June 09 and is aimed at deaf climbers looking to make the move from indoor climbing to sports climbing outdoors.
The ClimbFrance instructors will work closely with interpreters from Communication ID (also climbers) to ensure the essential skills are taught safely, with the aim of giving deaf climbers the confidence and skills to carry on afterwards.
This week long course includes all food and accommodation at the ClimbFrance base in Provence, instruction and specialist equipment. The cost per person is £655 and spaces are limited to 8 people.
